Writing letters to Santa has been one of the oldest traditions of Christmas. Children gather up their thoughts and write cute letters to Santa explaining either their feelings or desires. They then give those letters to their parents to mail them off to Santa. In this information age, however, children don't waste time in writing long letters; they just log on to some websites and write an e-mail to Santa which is instantly delivered. And the best thing is, they can now even receive replies from him!
This tradition has helped children learn how to write, what to expect and how to be courteous to an elderly person. It's a whole package of learning experience parents can have for their children at home. Now they can monitor their activities and their thoughts through e-mails. Smaller children can ask their parents to compose an e-mail for them so that they can also take part in this wonderful custom of celebrating Christmas with Santa. Santa is now so close to us that we can talk to him anytime we want! Even days before Christmas you can start writing him letters and then wait for a response. For children, just the thought that Santa is able to respond to their letters is just amazing! They will pay extra attention to their writing skills now that they know each and every question is going to be answered. So prepare your children for this wonderful experience this Christmas and enjoy with them!
